What impact did church have you on you as a child?
I loved being at church. Our closest family friends were people from church. I always felt loved, supported, and encouraged in my faith journey by friends and mentors from our small church. I have been involved in music ministry since I was in the fifth grade. Those experiences of church involvement and participation in worship leadership as I was growing up have strongly influenced who I am today and have shaped my ministry and philosophy about actively involving children and youth in worship leadership.
What makes you weep? Hearing and watching kids express their faith, beautiful music, and the words of powerful hymns and songs all make me weep.
