Why Confirmation??
Our confirmation program pairs up each student confirmand
with an adult mentor who has experienced some of the highs
and lows of life as a Christian. Each confirmand meets weekly
with his or her mentor for twelve weeks to discuss things like
God, the church, worship, baptism, and life as a Christian.
As part of the confirmation process, confirmands attend
worship at another church, visit a funeral home, make a
banner, and participate in a morning retreat, during which
they write a statement of their beliefs. At the end of the
confirmation process, confirmands are prepared to profess
their faith in Jesus Christ and become communicant
members of the church.
