Music

Music has always been a vital part of worship and the total ministry of Christ Community Church. We believe music is a gift from God that is used to glorify God, uplift the worshipper, and give expression to our faith. We never consider the music included in worship to be a "performance", but rather a gift given to honor God out of gratitude for His gifts to us. Music calls us to worship, leads us in praise and prayer, and sends us out into the world challenged and strengthened for service.

There are opportunities for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest in our community, to join in this ministry. In addition to the programs below, we regularly use instrumentalists and songleaders in worship. There are also ways for artists, writers, and those interested in drama and dance to share their gifts. Adult Choir
We welcome all high school youth and adults who enjoy singing. Our primary goal is to serve the Lord by leading His people in worship. We strive to glorify God, inspire worshippers, and lead the congregational song. We embrace a wide variety of musical styles which include songs of praise, prayers, and Biblical texts. We sing each week in Sunday morning worship and throughout the year for special events and services. This is a caring community that welcomes all who would like to share their gift of song.

Adult Handbell Choir
This ensemble offers an opportunity for service, worship leadership, fun, and fellowship. Together we learn the fundamentals of reading music and handbell ringing as we prepare music to be rung in Sunday morning worship as well as special services and musical events throughout the year. Flute Choir
The flute choir meets to prepare music for Sunday morning worship as well as special events and services throughout the year. This group of flutists enjoys the challenge of learning new music and the friendship shared by members of this ensemble.

Kids ROCK (Kids Rejoicing for Our Creator King)
This worship arts program provides experiences for kids to learn how and why we worship and prepares them to fully participate and lead in worship. This is a great opportunity for children and youth to explore a variety of activities including art, drama, movement, sign language, and music. Our time together will prepare and equip our youth to be participants and leaders in creative worship expressions.
