Why Youth Group??
High schoolers love to hang out with others and
enjoy life together. Weekly meetings of our high school
ministry help students have a good time while they explore
what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Meetings often
include active or thought-provoking games, worship songs,
and biblical lessons on a variety of topics like walking with
Jesus and knowing God’s will for the next steps of life.
Meetings usually give students a chance to share their thoughts
and find answers for their questions in small group discussions.
Our students also enjoy hands-on opportunities to have fun with
others and to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Some of our group’s
favorite annual activities include Halloween costume bowling, downhill
skiing, and pickup football games whenever we have the chance.
Fall and Spring retreats take us away from the normal routine to
spend time with God and others away from the distractions of
home. Local service projects at the food depository and
forest preserves allow us to give back to the community.
And summer mission trips give the opportunity to serve
others while discovering what it means to be a servant
of Jesus; our most recent trips have taken us to
Mexico, Connecticut, and Louisiana. We’re
a caring group, and we’d love to have you
or your high school student check us out.
