More About SpiriTrek...
SpiritTrek is based on the Workshop Rotation Model of learning. This model recognizes that children all learn differently and that all children love repetition and need it to gain a lasting knowledge of the material presented. In SpiriTrek, the children are taught the same Bible story for three to five weeks in a row. Each week they will experience it through a different teaching media such as art or drama. This allows the children the opportunity to learn the Bible in their own unique way. It also allows adults to teach the Bible using their own special gifts or hobbies.
Each week the children will meet for an introduction to the day's story and activities. They will then be divided into small groups by age. An adult, called a shepherd, will accompany the children to the appropriate activity. SpiriTrek is a fun, exciting program. Two weeks in a row are never the same!
