Hello y’all,
Tonight concludes our stay in Texas, and let me say, it has been nothing short of interesting. Whether it be Billy, the ex-German swimmer extraordinaire, to Joannie the Wonderdog, to all of the, well, “special” Texans we have crossed paths with, this week has been one to remember. All in all I would have to say this week has been a wee bit slow, but if we remember two years ago in Louisiana, things down here in the south move a bit slower, so relax and take a chill pill, for some. I will officially report a melt-down or two, but I will not mention any names. As for things affiliating with Group Workcamps, we had a particularly strong program last night, involving us breaking free of the oppression we have in our lives, and leaving it all before Jesus. In other news, the morning wake up songs have officially lost their effect, after starting the week off with a song made famous by the Muppets, “Phenomenon”, there just is nowhere to go but down.
In sporting news, the churches down here had a soccer face off! Talk about exciting! The teams were mixed between churches, but don’t worry y’all, Josh Potter made sure to score two goals on his own team. We had a few late arrivers into the game, including soccer super stud Justin Romanoff, SuperMatt from Minnesota eh, and the ridiculously radical referee, THEE Doug Roozeboom. From the given information, you can piece together a story of how that game went.
Well I’m going to conclude my update here, Tom’s yelling at me to finish up because he wants to walk down to sea wall and watch boats pass. If Adam Potter comes, we can count to see how many Captains will honk their boat horns for him. I am being told by Tom to say that we are heading home tomorrow and there may or may not be an update, depends on the hotel and when we get back from the always exciting baseball game featuring the Jackson Diamondjacks! Well it’s time to go now, see y’all on Saturday, a.k.a. the best holiday of the year for you hardcore American super fans such as myself. Uh oh, Tom is clapping his hands and telling me to hurry up, all while making under-sea scuba symbols.
Love always,
Flava-flave (Mike Flavin for the uneducated)
P.S. Hilary we woke up to your favorite song about the worms.
