Summary

For the past several years, we have been invited to direct a summer camp which serves the families of the Italian Air Force.  During the warm Italian summer months, Italians head to the beach for a much needed reprieve of the heat.

Camp is an adventurous, week-long, day-camp that allows kids to experience love of Christ in tangible ways. Each day is packed with fun from our full schedule of games, crafts, English lessons, memory verses, cabin time, water games, boat races, spirit day, and much more.

The Aeronautica Militare graciously allows us use their beach-front recreational facility as the stage for this camp experience.

FAQs

Do I need a passport to come on this trip?

Yes, to travel outside of the United States, you must have a passport to enter into the Eurpean Union and to safely re-enter the United States upon your return. If you don't already have a passport, it could take time. Please allow extra time for the State Department to process your application.

What happens if I can not make all the trainings, can I still go?

Italy is a tricky place. Their culture is complex. They do not operate the same way as we do in the States. That is why we train. We ask that everyone commit to the best of their ability to make all the trainings. We ask you to commit to a minimum of three (3) trainings. This may seem extreme (and it is), but it really helps us to come together as a team before we leave the States. If you are unable to make all the trainings, we will work with you to make sure you are up-to-speed before you take off. If you do not live around the Portland, OR area, we ask that you use Skype or FaceTime to virtually join us.

When does all of my money need to be paid? Can I fundraise?

All your money must be deposited into your account at Kingdom Ministries no later than one week before your departure date. But, to ensure reservatios are secure for our team, the sooner the better.

Do I need to speak Italian to come on this trip?

No! You do not need to know any Italian to go on this trip. We will be giving the team a crash course in Italian. Our hope is that everyone will be able to say 10 phrases before they leave!

Reviews

David Hughes

This Trip had such an impact on me. I can't find a way to put most of it into words. It was so fulfilling to be a part of something so much bigger than myself. There were so many conversations that will stick with me forever, and of course the beautiful scenery is ingrained in my mind.

I'm enriched by the love of Christ which was shown and by the people and their culture. I can't really put it into words. It was a life experience unlike anything that you could purchase.
